The main drawback is the traffic noise from the street-facing side. In December I could shut the window, so it wasn't a real problem, though I can see it being harder in summer. Better sealing around the front door should help. The rest was lovely: a historic property with beautiful rooms and interiors, plus a rear patio with complimentary coffee and drinks. There's also an outdoor pool, which I unfortunately didn't get to use. Prices were very reasonable, and the owner's father was a charming, welcoming host who let me in.

We still talk about this lovely place. Fernando (the owner) made us feel very welcome, and our room was beautiful and cosy, with such thoughtful details. The pool and garden, along with the local thermal baths just down the street, left us feeling restored for the last days of walking. It was an unforgettable stop on the final stretch of the Caminho Português last August. Obrigada!

Fernando, the owner, was friendly and full of energy. I especially loved the garden and the shared space. The rooms were cozy and clean, with lovely views.

The owner and his grandson were so friendly and accommodating. The rooms were great, the beds incredibly comfortable, and the pool area was a relaxing place to unwind. They also offer free beer and wine. This was easily the best place we've stayed on the Camino. Don't miss it, 100% recommended!

The pool in the backyard was just what we needed after walking in the July heat, and we were surprised by how much open yard there was to relax in. The photos don't really show it. It's conveniently right on the Camino, with town and dinner only a few minutes' walk away. But what made this our favorite stop while hiking El Camino was the welcome from the owner and his grandson. They were a great pair, sharing stories from their younger days, including race car driving photos displayed throughout the hotel, and talking at length about the wonderful wine region. You could feel their love for it. My husband and I could easily have stayed several more nights. Highly recommend.
