Hotel Roquiño

Hotel Roquiño's restaurant was a welcome meal after our long trek. The grilled pork was good, and so was the tortilla de patatas. The room was neat and clean, with a fridge, electric kettle, and mugs. It was nicely made up and looked out over the little streets of the historic quarter, close to the Camino de Santiago and other places of interest. Breakfast was VERY good too. Of all the hotel breakfasts I had during Camino, Roquiño was the only one with eggs and bacon. The orange juice was REALLY good, and you can make your coffee with more milk than coffee. I don't have room photos, but I do have food pics, which tells you where my mind was.

The room was clean, quiet, and well appointed in this beautiful hotel. Our group had a fabulous breakfast before heading on. A wonderful stay, strongly recommend!

It's in a great area and the hotel is clean, but the service was very poor. Chiara, the woman at the front desk, was rude and didn't seem trained in customer service. When I told her I was unhappy with how she'd treated us, she immediately said she was the owner's girlfriend. I asked to speak to the owner, explained what happened, and asked that Chiara not deal with our group of 15 guests again. She emailed an apology for her attitude, but offered few solutions to the difficulties she'd caused during check-in. Apart from that terrible experience with Chiara, the hotel was good. I hope the owner addressed it. Before going back, I'd make sure to ask.

The restaurant's food was very good, especially the noodle with vegetables dish. Breakfast was generous and tasty too. We were on our Camino journey, and this hotel felt like a wonderful treat. The staff were all kind and helpful, and our clean, bright room had everything we needed. If I come back to this town, we'll definitely stay here again. Thank you!
