The biggest disappointment was getting the booking sorted out. The phone staff couldn't speak English, WhatsApp replies came only now and then, and my €130 reservation was cancelled. I tried again three minutes later at €121 with their newsletter discount, but it got stuck on “please wait.” They said Standard Rooms weren't available by phone even though Booking.com showed them, and staff couldn't restore my booking or apply their own discount. I ended up booking through Booking.com. The process was awful, though I said I'd update after staying. After the stay, I raised the rating to five stars. The building's style, the heated indoor and outdoor pool, the park, room and bathroom speak for themselves. Dinner was okay: three courses with water included, and tasty starters. The supposed hamburger was two flat patties of what tasted like beef, while the other dishes were better. Desserts seemed to come from Brake or Sysco, the frozen food company. Breakfast didn't quite meet my €12 expectations, mostly because there were no eggs and the juices tasted like powder. The price-to-quality ratio was still great. They should make designated areas where smokers can go, since the restaurant terrace was hard to use with so many people smoking around it. Unless you like a smoky breakfast. It'd also help to translate the menu into a few European languages. Spanish and Catalan on the same board confused Google Translate.

The thermal area was private, which was amazing. The steam room felt like a sauna, and the bubble bath was really good. The garden, location and breakfast restaurant were all nice, though there wasn't a huge choice at breakfast. Our room was missing a kettle and glasses. Reception helped us upgrade it.

I felt scammed by the double charge, and they still won't refund me. The room itself was a letdown too: the bed was small and uncomfortable, and the bathrooms were old and in bad shape. On the first day, the safe didn't work. Someone came to look at it but couldn't fix it. Then an employee said it wasn't their problem and told me to keep my documents with me, so I had to carry my passport and papers around the whole time. Terrible experience. Don't waste your time coming here.

Being right in the city centre made it easy to walk to the bank, restaurants, supermarkets and other places. The rooms were clean and had good equipment, although one of our two bedrooms had no air conditioning. The hotel has an old fashioned interior that gives it a bit of a time travel feel. Its green area is simple, and the pool area was okay. We arrived slightly before check-in and asked a quick question. The receptionist answered quite rudely, probably because she was busy, but her mood improved afterward.

We stayed for three nights. The food was really poor, with cheap ingredients, often reheated in the microwave, and portions that were much too small for an adult. A few people on the hotel staff were very rude and disrespectful. Communication was bad and at times even frightening, especially Mario.
