Safari Hotel

The only real downside was the €10 nightly fee for my small dog. I didn’t need the cleaner during my three-night stay, and felt the extra €30 was excessive since my dog sleeps in his own bed and doesn’t get on the furniture. Other places nearby charge only €5. In winter, you can park for free on nearby streets, while in summer there are parking meters. It’s a nice studio flat with friendly staff and everything needed for a short stay, including cooking gear, a kettle, and toaster. There’s no balcony, though, and a couple of coat hooks for jackets would have been useful.

For a two-star hotel, this is a no-frills place that’s been thought through well. The bed was comfortable, the shower decent, and there was all the equipment and utensils we needed to make a simple meal. It was very clean and well maintained, and the staff were kind and hospitable.

Safari is a great option for a self-catering apartment. Our week there was lovely, and I’d come back for the value. The apartment was exceptionally clean and very well equipped. Staff were friendly, the pool was clean, and there’s a nice bar, pub, and restaurant beside it. Safari residents get a 10% discount there.

The room was very clean, and the staff polite. It’s close to amenities and the beach, so well worth a visit. The lighting could be improved, though, as the room was dark and could use another central light. There’s only one mirror, in the bathroom, which wasn’t much use when your family is all girls.
