Marakasa B&B

The house is beautiful, almost like staying in a garden, and the rooms are spacious, quirky, and have their own air conditioning, which is essential in summer. Marakasa was wonderful, and the owners were such kind and helpful hosts, with great local tips. They made delicious breakfast too. Dogs are welcome for a small daily cleaning fee. I loved the room so much that I snoozed the alarm for a few extra hours just to enjoy the quiet of Marakasa. Patricia was a fantastic host and even found time to do a load of my muddy hiking laundry at short notice, despite having lots on. The room was incredibly clean, the bed really comfortable, and the A/C was bliss. There's a little communal kitchen too, which was a lifesaver when I was tired of eating out. Flowers and plants make both the downstairs and upstairs patios feel warm and inviting. Such a gem of a B&B. If you're in the area and skip staying here, you're crazy!

We stayed for a week, and it honestly felt better than being at home. The hosts were so friendly and gave us great suggestions for places to visit. Breakfast was all homemade, excellent quality, generous portions, and full of local flavors. Such an incredible experience!

I love owner-run places because the people and their personalities make the stay feel authentic. This one was warm and cosy, with an interesting, quirky design and a kitchen with good amenities. We had everything we needed to make our own dinner, but the owner served breakfast herself and it was amazing. The hostess was so kind, and her conversations and thoughtful advice about our plans added so much to the stay.
