Apartamento Calp Place

There's a big, well-kept pool surrounded by lovely lawns and gardens, plus a tennis court and covered parking. Restaurants are downstairs, and the beach is only two minutes away.

We spent eight weeks there. The property was quiet, very clean, and well cared for. Consum and Mercadona are nearby, along with a pharmacy, doctor, and hairdresser. It also has a pool, tennis court, and underground garage.

The key pickup was a miserable start: we waited almost an hour, ten minutes by car from the apartment, somewhere parking was difficult and metered. The flat itself had broken things, lights that wouldn't come on, a faulty shower, and awnings in terrible shape. On the last day, the downstairs neighbor came up to complain that we'd splashed water onto his property. For what we paid, the condition was deplorable. The listing on Booking.com said there was air conditioning, and they confirmed it in a private message. But when we got the keys, we were told there wasn't any. Booking.com said the listing was misleading and offered a full refund with no penalty. We had nowhere else at the same price that day, so we had to stay, and the whole ordeal was indescribable. We were traveling with a small child during a heat wave, so air conditioning was essential. After a lot of arguing, they finally gave us fans, which just move hot air around instead of cooling the place. On the hottest days, that wasn't enough at all. This was negligent, and the authorities should investigate and penalize the company.

It's a spectacular building, with a huge pool, and the grounds are kept clean, beautiful, and in great shape. It's peaceful and pleasant, away from the bustle of the main beach. If the nearby cove is clean, it's spectacular.
