The golden sand was lovely, and there were lots of places to eat along the long promenade, with shops and cafes too. Even by 11 am the beach was busy. Everything was immaculate, and the quiet harbour had great views.

A pretty little cove with flat rock ledges that are good for sunbathing. It's fairly well known for naturism and snorkeling.

We've tried other places, but Calpe is still our favorite. It's a good-sized town with two long sandy beaches, restaurants, supermarkets, and other services, without feeling as crowded or hectic as Benidorm. There's also more of a Spanish feel here than in places made up mostly of expat communities.
