Apartment Larimar Calpe/Calp

Our best Airbnb of the holiday. We got a lovely welcome, and it really felt like a home away from home. We'll be back.

A good budget spot, with secure access and gated parking.

The apartment was pretty dirty. The bedside and dining room lamps had dirt and dead insects inside them. The one bedroom units have a small fridge, while the two bedroom ones have a big one. You can't really keep ice cream or anything frozen in the small fridges, because the freezer is just a metal plate that gets cold, with a door on it. For four nights, all they provided was a garbage bag and one roll of toilet paper. No soap, washing machine supplies, scouring pad, or anything else. The bathroom flooded twice from a leak in the water heater. I called reception the first time, and a technician came to fix it, so I thought it was sorted. But when I got back that night, everything was flooded again, nearly midnight. Reception said the technician was at home and asked if I could keep emptying buckets until morning. I refused, and eventually the technician came back to fix it. They said they'd turned down the water heater's power. The next morning there was so little hot water that none came out when I went to shower. The ceramic hob controls were backwards too, the minimum setting was actually the maximum and vice versa. Nobody warned us until we called.
