Hotel Y Bungalows Ar Galetamar

The Hotel has just reopened under new management. Its main area has two pools and a nice garden and sunbathing space. We stayed in an on-site Bungalow with a private garden and parking. Lovely, friendly place. We'll definitely return, 10/10.

The location is great, but after two days here that's about the only good thing I can say about the hotel. There are six of us, and every one of us dislikes the food. The choices are very limited and always lukewarm. Apparently the single microwave is meant to solve that, but it doesn't make the half-board meals appealing, and even breakfast was hard to enjoy. The rooms are adequate, and the cleaners deserve 5/5. I wouldn't come back to this particular hotel.

The sea was clear and warm enough for swimming, with big fish around our feet. There’s a small, quiet beach about two minutes away, though it had a lot of dead seaweed when we visited; the main beach is around five minutes on foot. We had a great weekend at the Galetamar. The apartment block was clean, and reception were friendly and helpful. The pool was clear and quiet enough for lane swimming, and there’s a shallow section for small children. The building sits at the end of Caple, away from rows of tall hotels, with a large private garden and shaded parking. No restaurant on site, but breakfast at a lovely belgium cafe was just two minutes away, and we found fantastic food along the promenade. Great value and location, we’ll be back.

I never even made it to the property. Something unfortunate happened, and I hoped they would understand, but they didn’t. They kept my money and offered no chance of a refund. I wouldn’t book here. In fact, I’d avoid booking anywhere in Spain online and use a travel agency, which feels safer to me.
