We could bring our dog, which was great. The room was comfortable and the hotel was lovely and clean. It’s in the old town, close enough to walk to plenty of bars and places to eat, and the beach is a leisurely 15-minute walk away.
The area around the hostel is really scenic, with lovely small, stylish restaurants all around. It’s in the old town and close to the bus station, with a short bus ride to the tram and train. This is a small hotel without a restaurant, and the bathroom is small too, but it’s stylish and such good value. Don’t dismiss the hostel idea.
The woman at the entrance was so sweet and let us leave our bags until check-in at 14h. We booked the premium room through Booking.com, and it was beautiful, with its own bathroom. Inside, the place is gorgeous and feels more like a hotel than a hostel.
The room looked just like the photos, with a comfy bed and a nicely finished bathroom, though it was small. The air conditioning kept us cool enough to sleep well. The shower was less reliable, with pressure sometimes very weak and the temperature changing a lot on its own. For what we paid in peak summer, the central location exceeded our expectations. There’s a ground-floor cafeteria for coffee and a simple breakfast, and bakeries only a few minutes away. The receptionist was very friendly and gave us directions to nearby places and the beach. If you’re driving, there’s an open car park not far from the hotel, but the weekend street market means fewer spaces are available.
