Our meal started with a plate of fried fish for €9.50, which was delicious enough that we'd come back just for that. My five-year-old had a good, generous serving of lasagna for €7. My wife and I ordered paella, and while the 40-minute wait was a good sign for something made at home, we shared the fish while we waited. For our mains, we had mussels with shrimp and mushrooms for €16. They were very good, and the mussels were huge, a nice change from bouchot mussels. A young woman gave us a pleasant welcome and spoke French fairly well. The waiter, though, was mediocre and disorganized. Draft beer was only €1.50. I recommend the restaurant. As of August 2016, it had changed its name from Vieux Bruxelles to El Ancla, but the menu was the same.
