The whole stay has been incredibly stressful, and the building is a noisy construction site. There's only one lift, and it doesn't work. The rooms are badly dated and tiny, the sofas are torn and broken, and there's just one two-seater sofa for six adults. The apartment is sold for six adults, but the shower barely has enough water for one person before it turns cold. It's been horrific. I need to go home and rest and sleep. Just awful 😞 🤬.

We arranged a family reunion months ahead, with relatives coming from different states and even continents. I prepaid for two apartments in this building through the agency, but when we arrived, one of the apartments we'd reserved had been given to someone else. We were left without somewhere to stay. There were minor children with us, yet the agency showed no concern, offered no apology or fix, and seemed oddly used to this kind of situation. It felt deceitful as well as unprofessional. I strongly advise against this agency. They can't be trusted.

Calpe is lovely, and the scenery is beautiful, with friendly locals and a cosmopolitan feel. The villages nearby are an easy drive and relatively untouched by tourism. There's a flat promenade and pristine beaches, all accessible for wheelchair users. The location is fantastic and good value, too. Everything was very clean, and the reception staff spoke English. Wi-Fi and a room safe were included in the price.
