The food and staff were excellent. It’s in a quiet location too.

I stopped in for a small bottle of beer and was charged €3.10. Come on, this is a village. I understand that each place sets prices based on its running costs, but that seems a lot here. The service bothered me too. They brought the beer over and then went off to look at their phone. I think the customer should come first, in case they want to order an aperitif. Maybe I’m mistaken, but that’s not how I think a new business should be run. Regards.

I’ll keep this brief. I stayed at this hostel from Thursday to Sunday, and it was a disaster. If you’re thinking of booking here or looking around the area, check the photos I uploaded and judge for yourself. I’d pay more next time for somewhere clean. That doesn’t seem like too much to ask. The shower and dampness are real problems. The bathroom light fitting and the blind that wouldn’t come down in the first family room they gave me after they said they’d made a mistake are minor by comparison. Avoid the rooms above the restaurant or terrace unless you’re fine with music playing until 2:30 am. Even if you get another room, make sure the music can’t be heard there. If you’re in Salamanca to party, it may not bother you much, but it’s hard to rest if you’re there to sightsee. I’m apparently not the only one who feels this way. I spoke to a group of six older people staying three rooms, one per couple, and they told me the same thing.
