Bahia Principe Escape Coral Playa - Adults Only 16+

Customer service was great, and breakfast was great too. The location takes you directly to one of the most beautiful beaches. I’d suggest a walking path from the boardwalk to the resort elevator, so people dressed up or wearing heels don’t have to cross the sand. From the street, the resort is at the top of a hill. The walk is manageable, though it could feel steep if you’re older or out of shape. The rooms were okay, but the bed was really hard and the shower setup sent water everywhere.

The Internet connection was rather weak, which was one downside. Still, I’m very grateful to everyone at the hotel who looks after the tourists. The hotel is beautiful, with a wonderful view, varied food and friendly staff. I’d especially like to thank Sebastian at the reception desk.

The location was the only good part of our stay. I was shocked by how bad the experience was, especially since I’d respected Bahia Principe at other locations around the world. The beds were uncomfortable, like hospital beds, and the AC was subpar, so we were left sweating at night. We raised it with management, but nothing came of the complaint.

This was our third week at Bahia Principe Sunlight Coral Playa, and I hope we’ll keep returning for years. We always come in October, when it’s warm without being too hot, usually around 25°C during the day and a mild 20°C at night. The sea stays lovely and warm after summer, about 23°C for swimming, and there aren’t crowds, so it’s easy to enjoy a peaceful break. Being right on the beach matters a lot to me. I love the balcony sea view and the sound of the waves, so I think paying a little extra for that view is well worth it. The hotel is spotless, and the staff are always friendly, smiling and welcoming. We choose half-board, with breakfast and dinner, and the food is delicious with a good range of dishes for different tastes. Thanks again to everyone for making our stay so enjoyable.
