We had a delicious dinner here, and the room was inexpensive. The staff were very friendly. It’s a quiet, traditionally furnished place, a renovated farmhouse with lovely views of the Picos de Europa.

The nature around the farmhouse is beautiful, and the owner was friendly and helpful. The old building and rooms have a very original, rustic feel, almost medieval, which made staying there a unique experience. At the same time, the room had the right modern equipment, including a bathroom and TV. They also have a very friendly dog and some cows if you like animals.

We really enjoyed our two nights at La Casona de Treviño. It’s a peaceful place to unwind after a mountain hike, listen to the quiet and fall asleep to the soft cow bells. Just off the main tourist road to Fuente Dé, it’s about 1 km up a steep hill in a sleepy town with maybe 10 houses. The old farmhouse has been beautifully restored as a small auberge / posada with just 4 rooms, antique furniture, flowers all around and a couple of cows. Two sisters run it and take very good care of both the house and their guests. You can even have a simple late dinner before bed.
