Even though it was off season, they called in extra help and put together a homemade, casual lunch for four adults and six kids. It isn't a fancy place, just a home-run business where you can have a nice time and chat with the owner and the two women who came to help. We loved the whole experience and would come back without hesitation. Thank you!

This is about the restaurant. We were met very poorly and got a rude reply when we asked for a table in Galician. All they said was “NADA.” Maybe we were being stupid, I don't know, but a simple “sorry, we're full” would have been much nicer. Anyway, the restaurant next door is splendid. :)

The kitchen was apparently closed when we arrived for lunch, and the lovely woman working there even started pointing out other places that were open. Then she noticed how hungry and disappointed we looked, showed us what they had in the kitchen since we don't speak Spanish, and improvised a really nice meal for us. We ended up having lunch, coffee, dessert, and a few more drinks. The welcome and atmosphere were great, and it was good value too.

Before ordering here, check the prices carefully. We had a quarter slice of tortilla de patata, some tomato slices with oil, a small bowl of bread, and two glasses of house red. Nothing fancy, and the quality was average. When I went to pay, a man from the back charged us 17 euros. After spending a lot of time around Spain, I had a strong sense I was being taken for a tourist fool. My husband knows some basic Spanish and questioned the bill, but got nowhere. We went outside to ask the woman who served us, and she checked it and refunded a couple of euros, which was better than nothing. I'm posting this so others don't get a nasty surprise with the total.

We spent four nights here last week, as it's also a hotel, and had a great time. The owners were really lovely, the food was fresh and excellent, and it was nice to have dinner and a few drinks in the evening with a good view. It's a great place to stay, and we'll definitely be back.
