Herbiña Hotel

The only good thing is the location in town. The hotel itself is very old, and the rooms need renovation. There was a strong cigarette smell, lots of noise from other rooms, and the walls and door were very thin. The beds were old and squeaky, and the sheets were awful. The receptionist didn't speak English and didn't try to explain anything. When we returned at night, the hotel was locked, and nobody had told us about door codes. We paid for two nights but left after one because of the bad experience. Breakfast was very messy.

We went as a group and everyone came away very disappointed. The hotel is very old and full of defects, they didn't even leave us shower gel, and you could hear people in other rooms, even from the bathroom. Much of the food was canned and there wasn't much of it. Breakfast was the one thing that was okay. The staff were good, but they seemed overwhelmed by all the complaints. The entrance ramp was very steep and dangerous. Even though our group had ordered and bought a lot of products, they showed us no consideration. We won't return, and I don't recommend it.

I'm writing for my parents. They had a disastrous stay, and it ruined the dream they'd spent their whole lives saving for, a trip to see Galicia. The room was filthy and dusty when they arrived, with panty liners and tissues left under the bed by previous guests. My mother has allergies and was suffocating, but when they asked for the room to be cleaned, the staff refused. They had to clean the headboard and pictures themselves. There was no air conditioning or fan in the rooms; after they asked, staff had to take a fan from the cook, who was already working in high temperatures. They also needed a hairdryer, but there was only one for 48 people. On top of all that, the staff were incredibly rude. The food was already cold on the table when guests arrived. If you didn't like it, they said it was a set menu and basically tough luck. It's advertised as a two-star hotel, but it doesn't even measure up to a rundown inn from the Franco era. Thanks for making Galicia look good, note the sarcasm. A hotel may have two stars, but cleanliness, courtesy, friendliness, and respect should be five stars, and those were sorely lacking.

They canceled our reservation just hours before check-in, on August 2nd, 2025, while I was already on my way to Hotel Herbiña Cambados. I called to ask why, but the receptionist only kept saying he knew nothing about it and clearly didn't want to talk or explain. I tried another number, a hotel mobile, and got more excuses and runaround, none of it credible. They offered no solution, leaving me without any chance of finding another room on the day I was meant to check in. Hotel Herbiña in Cambados abandoned a customer with a valid reservation. Completely unprofessional and not credible, with no commitment to customers. I would never recommend them if you don't want your vacation ruined.
