Hotel Marina Cambrils by URH

The Sky bar has a beautiful view, with a pool and breathtaking scenery. It's a quiet, relaxing place to enjoy with family and friends, and the staff are friendly.

The sewage smell was hard to ignore, especially by the entrance and lobby. It got worse at night, and we could smell it from our room while trying to sleep. We also saw someone in Room 120 smoking inside, clearly visible from their balcony. I reported it to another receptionist, who just shrugged and seemed unconcerned. Smoke filled the corridor, which was unpleasant and a serious fire safety risk. Our room wasn't cleaned one day, and we didn't get fresh towels. The cleaner assigned to our floor spent over five hours wandering the hallway, talking to herself and crying at one point. She didn't seem to understand English and appeared unsupervised, which concerned us. We stayed for two nights, Saturday and Sunday, at Marina Cambrils by URH. It's a new hotel, but our experience was so poor that, without unforeseen circumstances, we'd have checked out after the first night. The food was another problem: our nachos and pulled pork arrived cold. We sent them back, but they came back just as cold, so we had to ask to have them taken off the bill. That's unacceptable, especially for a newly opened hotel. Emily at the front desk was shockingly rude and unprofessional. She seemed polite and attentive with local Spanish guests, but dismissive and disrespectful toward tourists. When I asked for two pool towels, she snapped that I should "get back to the end of the queue," where around 20 people were waiting to check in. The towels were right behind reception, but she wouldn't hand them over, so I had to wait unnecessarily. At checkout on October 6th, she wiped her nose on her sleeve while helping guests. The young man assisting her seemed inexperienced and uninterested, and nobody asked us how the stay had been. The poor service, hygiene, maintenance, and odours made the stay extremely disappointing. This hotel needs better management, staff training, and quality control. I'd advise people considering it to look elsewhere until serious improvements are made.

It's a central hotel in Cambrils, and very quiet, with ultra-clean rooms and welcoming, helpful, kind reception and hotel staff. Just be aware there's no parking connected to the hotel. The car park directly below it isn't theirs and is expensive, so find another car park.
