L'Avi Miquel

It's really close to the beach, which I liked. The accommodation was fine for us, as we're used to visiting lots of places. There are five rooms and three bathrooms. I'd recommend it.

AWFUL EXPERIENCE We didn't get into the house until 6 PM, even though check-in was meant to be at 3 PM, so we waited three hours. Inside, the kitchen was appalling, including the fridge and freezer, and the houseboy's underwear was on the floor. There were ants in the bedrooms, the mosquito nets were ripped, and some windows wouldn't open or close. One single bed was being held up by a paint bucket. We asked for the air conditioning remote for one room and were told it wouldn't be available until August. The bathrooms were filthy and smelled terrible. Even the water made us feel sick, so washing our faces was impossible. The terrace was nice and sunny, but the parasol was broken, more like decoration. The barbecue was unsanitary. When we raised all this with the owner, he offered money back and a free night if we didn't leave bad reviews. We won't be coming back.

We spent two perfect weeks here. The place is quiet, close to the sea, and has what you need for a family holiday. JOAN MIQUEL was very friendly and attentive, welcomed us, showed us around, and handed over the keys. It was very clean, too. The earlier reviews don't match what we experienced, and we understand the Daniel mentioned before isn't managing it anymore. We'd definitely come back!
