Such a great place. I’d love to own it.

The finca was spacious, spotless, and had everything we needed for a stay with a small child, including a crib, high chair, dishes, and toys for indoors and out. We loved our quiet time there, especially breakfast on the covered terrace and grilling together in the evening. The lit pool and the views of greenery and mountains were a daily highlight. Cats from the neighboring property sometimes came by, but they didn’t bother us, and their owner looked after them. We stayed as a family during the off-season and hadn’t visited Campanet before. It was a pleasant surprise, with walks and bike rides starting right in the village. The area suited hikers, cyclists, and small families, and we could drive to nearby towns for shopping and errands. Palma was about a 30-minute drive. We’d happily book again and are already looking forward to another holiday there.
We had 10 lovely days in the end, but next year we’re choosing a different finca in Mallorca. The house is in a very central spot, though I didn’t find the surrounding area especially appealing. The outside and garden were nice and, most of all, clean. The bedrooms had been renovated and felt new. The rest of the interior was clean too, but I think it could use the same renovation. What really wasn’t okay was someone entering the house while we were out. We also found a letter on the dining table accusing us of messing with the air conditioning, which wasn’t true. The remote itself was broken, so I don’t see how anyone could have tampered with it.
We felt at home straight away, and the finca had everything we needed. The grounds and house were very clean and thoughtfully furnished. The kitchen is well equipped, even with a hand blender and electric juicer, and there’s a washing machine. The dishwasher and gas stove are worn, but still usable. The pool is a good size and reaches about 170 cm at its deepest; the owner cleans it if arranged ahead. Rosa and David were friendly, helpful, and discreet. They were easy to reach on WhatsApp and quick to come by when needed, which made us feel secure. We were two adults and a child, and we’d definitely return. The property is fully fenced for privacy and has an alarm. There are a few nearby houses, but we barely saw or heard the neighbors, apart from some animals at night. It’s in a quiet rural area away from mass tourism, so a rental car is highly recommended. With one, bakeries, supermarkets, and restaurants are only minutes away. We especially liked eating on the large covered terrace and having wine in the evening beside the beautifully lit pool. We chose the finca from the photos, which were the same across the travel agencies. The local rental agency sent us the coordinates, key box code, and Wi-Fi password in advance, and collecting the key from the box went smoothly. The place matched the pictures exactly. We were also told by email that the owners would stop by that evening to collect the tourist tax, payable on site. That went fine, and they answered our other questions too, including how to use the gas stove. (Travel period: End of August/beginning of September 2020)
We were there in July 2019 with our two children. The bedrooms were nicely renovated, and the house was clean, but several other areas, including the living room, kitchen, bathroom, and outside, needed work. The owners were friendly, though it felt odd that they lived in a caravan at the back of the garden. While we were out, they went into the house and switched off the air conditioning we’d forgotten to turn off. That was unacceptable and left us feeling uncomfortable and unsafe. The surroundings weren’t great either, although the area itself was beautiful.
