Mas La Riera

There's plenty to do here: the pool was clean, the kids loved the paddle tennis court, and there are ping pong, foosball, and pool tables. We also found lovely walks, including the Seven Gorges hike, which children can manage. The accommodation was clean and well equipped, with welcome supplies like a sponge, dish soap, hand soap, and shampoo, plus a jar of homemade jam. The pumpkin jam was a real discovery. We loved the quiet natural setting, hearing sheep bells, petting the goats, and playing hide-and-seek with the chickens. The hosts are warm and clearly love their place and animals. I bought several jars of jam to give as gifts.

Birdsong and the friendly animals were part of the mountain setting, with nature and spectacular views all around. You can see the care in every corner and the love Raúl, Carme, and Cristina have put into making this such a special place. Their warmth and hospitality made us feel at home from the start. It was a privilege to unwind somewhere so peaceful and authentic. We had unforgettable days and will definitely return.

I'm upset and frankly disgusted by how this unfolded. The management has stopped answering my questions, and we were left in a back-and-forth that had nothing to do with us after losing our reservation money, the Gorgs tickets, and our vacation. They told us swimming in the Gorgs was prohibited, so we cancelled because our family trip was specifically to swim there. They encouraged me to ask the Town Hall for a refund of the 8 eco-taxes we'd paid for swimming, but the Town Hall said swimming isn't prohibited under any circumstances and refused to refund us. The management also gave the Town Hall false information about us and now contradicts itself about having told us this. On arrival day, we'd encouraged family members to join us for a swim and bought their tickets too, but they couldn't even take a dip. Management suggested a stretch of river near the house instead, but it was frankly filthy and hard to reach for our family, which included two adults over 70 and a two-year-old.

Mas La Riera was wonderfully peaceful, with nature and animals all around. It's a comfortable place to spend a few days with family or friends. The owners treated us exceptionally well. Highly recommended.
