Finca Amapola

The pool was lovely, breakfast was delicious, and Ana made pancakes for us in the morning. We also got to feed the baby sheep and goat, then walk them around the field, which was the highlight. Finca Amapola felt like paradise, and we enjoyed every moment. The rooms were very clean and the terraces gave us privacy. Beautiful beaches such as Sa Rapita aren’t far, and we liked Cala D'or too. For meals, we found the trendy spots Cassai and Sal de Coco. I’d love to come back and would definitely recommend this place to friends.

We had the large suite with its own pool, and the stay was good. Still, we wouldn’t return. The €70 flat fee for our small dog felt extremely overpriced, especially since many hotels charge nothing or only a small nightly fee.

We’ve stayed two years running, in casita Rosa and Amapola. The service is great, and the staff are friendly and helpful. It’s an ideal spot for a city escape. We’ll be back.

The beach at es trenc is only a five-minute drive away, or you can take a relaxed bike ride or a challenging run. Santanyi is nearby too, with interesting little shops and a market on Wednesdays and Saturdays selling everything from fruit to sunglasses. The hosts are happy to suggest restaurants in the evenings. There are activity leaflets in the shared area, plus an on-site driving range and a roughly 800m route for golfers or runners. Our family has returned year after year, and it always feels like coming home as soon as we drive through the gate. The easygoing, friendly atmosphere makes it feel like a holiday even before you’ve explored the island. We’ve made friends from all over Germany and love catching up, even if it’s only once a year. All those dinners over the years have made great memories, and the food is wonderful. Breakfast especially deserves more than five stars, with pretty much anything you could want to start the day. The bar is available almost around the clock, has plenty to choose from, and even supports smaller or newer brands. There’s room for families and couples alike, even in the busy summer months. The grounds are huge, with plenty of space for children to explore and play. Rooms are spacious and lovely, and some have a terrace, so it’s easy to have a quiet day in without feeling stuck inside. We’ve never found the lack of food service around the clock a problem. When our kids were hungry, we sorted out simple snacks, enjoyed a big breakfast served from 9 to 12, and went out for dinner. Eating out also gave us a chance to discover new places and enjoy meals with friends. We honestly can’t think of anything wrong with the place, and I’d encourage families or couples to visit.
