Hotel Mas Salagros EcoResort & Aire Ancient Baths

The restaurant and spa service felt slow and unfriendly, and we weren't happy with the food. Our room was an old room for disabled people, while the facilities elsewhere also looked dated and in need of renovation. We left our weekend very disappointed. This didn't feel like a five-star experience, and we think the place is overrated.

The food was the standout for us. Breakfast was one of the best I've had at a hotel, with fresh, high-quality ingredients that tasted like real food. We enjoyed both restaurants for dinner too, especially the chocolate dessert at Restaurant Gastronòmic 1497, which felt Michelin level. We'd been to the restaurant and spa before, but this was our first hotel stay. The room had a wonderful view and a large private garden, and the beautiful property sits among nature and scenic hiking paths. Staff were always friendly and polite, adding to the relaxed feel. We enjoyed it enough to extend our three-night booking. There were a few small things that could be better, but they didn't spoil the visit. I see this as a more modest five-star hotel, though still well worth visiting.

The spa, ‘the ancient bath - Aire’, was one of the most unique we've ever tried, a real wonder. We loved it and would recommend going every day during a stay. It's worth every euro and more. The forest setting at Mas Salagros made us feel surrounded by wild nature, and the resort felt like a real gem. From before we arrived, we felt looked after. Eva was kind and attentive, patiently handling all my questions and requests by email and welcoming us so warmly when we got there. Santi's endless smile, helpful tips and warm service brought so much positivity, and Maria and the whole team made sure we were happy with their heartfelt hospitality. Many thanks, many times over. We're already dreaming of coming back.

We had a great stay, with attentive service, a lovely property, easy access to hiking trails and a very good price. The only problem was that the AC didn't seem to work, though the nights were cool enough. I also think insect screens on the windows would be useful.
