Apartamentos Rurales Candela

The Geoparque Villuercas Ibores Jara is gorgeous, with plenty of good hikes nearby. We also enjoyed a tour and wine tasting at Bodega Ruiz Torres, which was reasonably priced. Candela and Juanjo were generous, terrific hosts. Breakfast and coffee are included, and you can book a tasty dinner at a good price. This is a great base if you like hiking or exploring rural Spain and want to stay well out in the countryside. The setting is peaceful and beautiful, but getting there means driving narrow roads. I gave the location five stars for its remoteness and scenery. If narrow roads really bother you, you may prefer somewhere in Cañamero near the park visitor center.

Lovely place, and the care and attention were excellent.

We came to see Guadalupe, but the natural surroundings around Candela’s place ended up being the highlight. There’s a stunning reservoir nearby, a Blue Flag destination. Staying here felt like a magical chance to connect with nature, with all the comforts you need. Thank you!

The homemade strawberry jam from the owner was such a treat, and the owners’ warm, attentive hospitality made a real difference. The apartments are comfortable, well looked after, and have everything needed for a stay. Set among nature with incredible mountain views, the place is wonderfully peaceful. We had an unbeatable stay at Apartamentos Candela, and would happily return and recommend it.
