Las Casitas de Candelaria

Beautiful spot, and great company!!

Getting to restaurants or bars means going uphill, so I walked or took an e-bike. It’s manageable if you’re reasonably fit. I spent three weeks at Casita Anastasia, a beautiful, spotless property with a lovely pool. It isn’t heated, which made the water refreshingly cool 😄. The house had everything I needed, and Petra and Martin were incredibly kind and helpful. It’s such a peaceful place. I’d love to return!!

We’ve stayed here four times and are already looking forward to going back. The casitas and fincas are lovely, very clean, and each finca has its own private pool. They’re quiet and have everything you need, with friendly, helpful owners. It’s a relaxing place, and works well for children or dogs too.

I was disappointed, especially since I’d stayed here before and it’s nothing like I remember or like the photos. The house looks pretty, but it feels neglected. There are very few kitchen utensils and dishes for a place meant for four, so you have to wash things before you can eat. There are only four plates and small glasses, and just two towels per person for a seven-day stay. The pool area is uncared for, with no paint and dirt around it; the barbecue has no shade, and the loungers are old.
