Finca La Sayuela

The area is stunning, and Keith took us around to see some lovely wildlife. We especially enjoyed spotting the Bluethroat. The accommodation was amazing and Jane and Keith's hospitality was wonderful. Thanks so much for a fabulous stay. Maybe you'll make it to Australia one day so we can return your kindness.

We had a great couple of days at Jane and Keith's wonderful Finca while touring Spain for wildlife with my Australian friends Deb and Ian. Keith took us out for a day in the beautiful Sierra de Gredos and showed us some stunning species, including the Bluethroat, a bird Deb and Ian had been hoping to see. Jane and Kieth were brilliant hosts and happy to help with anything. Thanks to you both, Mick. I'll see you again in spring for some Butterfly watching.

Our dogs enjoyed this place as much as we did. The owners were welcoming and friendly, sharing local tips and vegetables from the garden. There are good places to eat within walking distance or a short drive. It's a beautifully maintained, relaxing retreat for city people needing a break, with wonderful views and mountain walks starting right at the garden gate. The apartments were spotless, well equipped, and comfortably furnished, and the secluded pool was gorgeous. We'll be back!

We watched some lovely sunsets and spent an evening on the loungers looking up at the stars. There are pleasant walks by an impressive river, and Keith knows loads about nature if that's your thing. The accommodation was comfortable and clean, and the quiet setting is ideal for unwinding. Keith and Jane gave us a warm welcome. There's a local bar and a very nice restaurant about a 10-minute walk away, and it was great having a pool for a cool dip. We'll definitely return!
