Hostal Yessy

I didn't make a reservation. When I called and said I'd be bringing a guide dog, they told me pets weren't allowed and that we couldn't stay. I didn't want to cause a scene, so I didn't push it, but the law applies to everyone and there's clearly a lack of awareness about it.

The owners have been there a long time, which I found charming. The rooms are very affordable and clean, and the location couldn't be better. Parking is easy in the off-season. The problem for me was the paper-thin walls. The door between the hallways leaves a gap that makes your own flimsy door rattle, like someone's about to break in. Staff noise carries, and even the smallest sigh from another guest sounds as if it's right next to you. I admit I have an unjustifiable need for quiet when I sleep, but with all its other good points, I'd still recommend the hostel :)

The owner is friendly and attentive, and the room was very clean. It's right in the centre too. A great place, highly recommended.

It was excellent value, and staying here helped me get through the heatwave. The location is very good. The only drawback is that you can't park right outside.
