The road is the main downside: traffic makes a lot of noise day and night, and some motorists drag-race there in the middle of the night. The campsite can't do much about that, though maybe a higher, larger wall could help someday. You do get used to it, but if you're camped near the road, earplugs may help you sleep. That aside, the place still gets full credit from us. We had a really nice three-week holiday. We came back after five years at the same campsite and found it just as good, maybe even better. The sanitary facilities are clean, security has improved, and the pool has had a nice upgrade, especially for small children. The beach has improved a lot too, and now has a really cool beach bar. The restaurant and bar are still decent; we ate at the restaurant on arrival day and really enjoyed it. Reception also gave us useful advice about public transport, which helped a lot.

It's a nice campsite and peaceful if that's what you're after, but it felt too far from Barcelona for us. Google Maps puts it about 50 km from both Barcelona and Girona, so calling it “Camping Globo Girona” would make sense too. Getting into Barcelona took roughly two hours: about 15 minutes to the station, around half an hour waiting for the train, then a ride of about 1 hour 20 minutes. The return takes about as long. I wouldn't recommend it if you want to go back and forth to Barcelona every day.

This family-run campsite has been here since the 1990s, and it shows in the care they put into it. The place is tidy, and the showers and toilets stay clean throughout the day. The woman at reception was lovely and really helpful. It's just 50m from a sandy beach. We'll definitely come back.

We usually stay on a pitch with our RV, but our new one didn't arrive in time for this holiday, so we booked a mobile home instead. I'm glad we did. The campsite is well kept, and it's clear they put time and money into maintaining it. It's family friendly, with lots of sports activities, and the staff are lovely and always ready to help. When we asked at the last minute to add a night, they found a solution even though most rentals were already booked. The heated pool really is warm. I'm usually put off by cold pools, but I stayed in for at least 30 minutes each time, close to my personal record. The beach is a three-minute walk away, with an underpass beneath the railway so you don't have to cross the tracks. I was a little concerned about the nearby railway, but it wasn't a problem, and I don't think I heard a train during our six days there. The station is a ten-minute walk away. Direct trains to Barcelona city centre run every 30 minutes, take about 55 minutes, and cost €10 for a return trip. This is now our place to stay when we visit Barcelona. I really recommend it.

We spent five days here with our camper and felt very comfortable. It's a lovely small campsite, family friendly and run with care. Everything was neat and very clean. The beach is about a five-minute walk, and the train gets you to Barcelona city centre in around 45 minutes.
