Hotel Aguila Real

We paid 105 Euro for one night, which felt like a complete ripoff for the quality of the hotel. From what I saw in other reviews, the owners seem to have an excuse for everything and don't take responsibility. Unless you're desperate, I'm sure there are nicer and cheaper places in town. The room itself needs renovation, and the bathroom had a dirty, stained towel. Breakfast was awful, the worst I've had at any hotel. We couldn't eat anything or even drink the coffee. The “toast” hadn't been toasted, and the bacon and eggs I'd ordered were cold and swimming in oil. They should be embarrassed to serve food like that. We had to go elsewhere in town for breakfast afterward.

You can't contact reception from your room, and when we asked the receptionist about the noise in the morning, he said he had been too busy. Our group couldn't get to sleep until 1:30 a.m., when one of us left their room to tell the staff what was going wrong. A group of students had been running along the corridor, dragging furniture, and banging and slamming doors, including ours. The teenagers were at fault, their teachers were absent, and the hotel staff also handled it badly. Some staff should be more educated and responsible toward guests. I suggest the hotel be rated lower.

The location was ideal, very close to the city center, and we had a great stay. Our room was clean and very nice, and the staff were kind and helpful. I'd strongly recommend this hostel.

The location is good, and the staff were professional. The room and bathroom, though, were below average, old and outdated. We skipped breakfast because there were better options outside.
