Conjunto Hotelero La Pasera

I’m writing this from my room in the middle of the night because I’ve just found there are no lights or electricity in it. There’s nobody at reception to ask what’s happening, and I’m shocked. I’ve stayed in many hotels and have never been left without power in my room and without staff around. It’s a real pity. The location is good, near several hiking trails and Cangas de Onís, but my room faces a dull pale view of the motorway and parking lot, not the nature scenery you might expect. Reply: Nobody was at reception overnight. The technician arrived around 08:30, after I told the receptionist, who hadn’t known about the outage. The main corridor door was blocked, and nobody on staff told us doors would be blocked for no good reason. I also wasn’t given a hotel phone number to call, and there was no phone in the room. I said the location was good, not excellent. Please don’t claim I said things I didn’t, or mislead others with inaccurate information.

The room was a bit small and had no AC, just a tiny table fan. Still, the hotel has a nice breakfast and a great pool. It’s close to cangas de onis and covadonga, with easy access by public transportation.

The place was bearable, but not exactly enjoyable. The hotel doesn’t seem to have been renovated recently. We had two rooms: mine was clean, while the shower in the other was dirty. There was no window screen to keep insects out in my room, and no disabled parking space, although there was a lift and a ramp up to reception. A strange beeping went on for a couple of hours in the middle of the night, and you can hear the neighbors toilet flushing. My friends went down for breakfast and said the tomatoes had already started to go bad.

The people serving us were nice, breakfast was good, and the price was good for what you get. I can’t rate it higher because dogs aren’t allowed in the breakfast room. They ask you to sit at some tables far away from the room. Since there’s an extra fee for the pet, I’d expect dogs to be accepted in the common areas too.
