Hotel Granda

We had a great room, and the hotel was pretty inside. The front desk staff were really helpful and knew a lot about Cangas and Covadonga. Parking was plentiful, and the staff were the kindest we met during our 10-day trip across northern Spain. Being just outside the center, about a seven-minute walk away, made for a peaceful stay and a good night’s sleep before an early start. We had a long day planned at Covadonga and the Lagos, so staying somewhere quiet mattered to us.

Parking on site was plentiful, and it’s only a seven-minute walk into town. We had a lovely room and facilities, with friendly, helpful staff. Breakfast was great and reasonably priced.

The rooms were great, and the staff were really helpful. It’s only a few minutes’ walk to Cangas de Onis, so this was a great place to stay.

The parking is a real bonus, and apart from one issue, this was a pretty good hotel choice. It’s comfortable and well placed just outside Cangas de Onis, with modern, quiet rooms and comfy beds. The water was cut off in the morning, though that wasn’t the hotel’s fault. The price felt a little high for the facilities. Reception was the main problem. During a busy checkout period, the receptionist was gone for over 20 minutes while guests queued and rang the bell. She’d been having breakfast downstairs, then spoke with the workman fixing the water before helping the waiting guests. Their conversation was about whether they knew each other and whether she had a sister who looked like her.
