It's always a pleasure to stay in these apartments. Pilar is delightful, and the place is clean and well equipped. The location is just right, and it's nice to wander around the village. I'd definitely recommend it and hope to be back soon.

The studio was fantastic, with a double bed, and the host was lovely. She also has a shop right next door where you can pick up the keys and buy a bit of everything. It smelled fresh as soon as we walked in, and everything was spotless. The apartment had plenty of equipment: blankets if needed, though the heating worked perfectly, an Italian coffee maker, toaster, a couple of frying pans, a hairdryer with a diffuser, and more. For breakfast, you can get something at the shop or head to the bar on the village square, where the portions are generous and the prices reasonable. We came from Madrid through the "black villages," from Tamajón to Majaelrayo, then took a forest track to Cantalojas. If the weather is bad or your car isn't suitable, you'll have to go back to Tamajón. If you like hiking, you can explore the Tejera Negra Beech Forest, then stop in Valverde de los Arroyos on the way back to Madrid.
