Canyamel Park Hotel & Spa

The service was garbage, and I won’t be back. The staff were unbearable and extremely rude. Rooms weren’t clean, and the AC didn’t cool them properly and kept breaking down. Pool towels have to be returned to reception to exchange. In theory that’s fine, but when I brought them back, staff were rude and stuck-up. They told me to go behind the reception desk and return the old towels and pick up the new ones myself, while they sat on their phones. I highly, highly wouldn’t recommend staying here. There are similarly priced places nearby with lovely staff. We ended up going to the bars in those hotels, and the experience was completely, pleasantly different.

We mostly wanted somewhere to relax, and this hotel suited us well. It was peaceful, immaculate, and about three minutes from the beach. The pool was lovely, though it could get busy, with plenty of loungers claimed by towels. Nearby shops and mini-markets had most everyday things, including snacks, cold drinks, beer, wine and spirits, and there was a pharmacy in the same area. There was a lot to choose from at meals, and the buffet was generally European in style. The grill and BBQ area served steaks and fish. Breakfast had fresh eggs, omelettes and scrambled eggs, plus plenty of cereal, cold meats and fruit. The rooms felt modern and well equipped, with a large shower. The air conditioning worked well. The only small negative for me was that the bed felt a little too firm. A really nice stay, with good food and a nice pool.

We loved it enough to return this summer, and Thomas was just as lovely to see again. He’s the friendliest receptionist ever. It was the best hotel stay we’ve had, with welcoming staff, delicious food and a beautiful room. I keep recommending it to anyone planning a trip to Mallorca. A couple of things could use fixing, like the shower beside the sauna and the water blowers in the indoor pool.

We really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is lovely, the area is peaceful, and the staff were excellent the whole time. Breakfast had a brilliant choice of food. It also made a good base for exploring the island.
