The junior suites are modern, nicely updated rooms, and the staff are friendly. The food was amazing. Cocktails at the all-you-can-drink places are mediocre, as usual, so it’s better to mix your own 😉. There can be some noise from the works across the street, but that’s outside the hotel’s control and won’t last forever. I’d definitely go back.

The rooms were nice, with a large modern bathroom, and everything was clean and orderly. The hotel was well organized, with helpful staff, tasty food from around the world as well as Spanish and Mallorcan dishes, and good variety. The waiters were nice, and the bartenders, women and men, were friendly and served delicious drinks. There were interesting activities and performances, two swimming pools, and water volleyball. There’s a beautiful beach nearby and a lovely walk along the seafront with great views. The hotel also has a shuttle bus. I’d recommend it and will definitely come back.

The beds were really comfortable, and the food had plenty of variety, with theme nights and lots of fruit. Some of it was enjoyable, but the bacon wasn’t crispy, the cereal milk wasn’t cold, and the orange juice seemed to be about 25% fruit with a lot of sugar. It didn’t feel like 4-star food. The room was spacious, but the cleaning needs work. The shower was loose, and the air conditioning was loud and couldn’t be adjusted individually. Whether set to 22 or 10°C, it just blew cold air. That didn’t feel 4-star either. Music was loud on most nights, though not every night, so you had to shut all the windows to sleep before midnight. The worst part was people reserving sunbeds early in the morning without anyone saying anything. I raised it with the manager, who said they couldn’t remove the towels because of covid. That felt like an excuse, and like laziness and fear of arguments. What a shame.

The island is beautiful, and the people we met were fun and friendly. We made some new friends, but couldn’t spend much time together because the lobby was too hot for them, and there was nowhere cool to have a drink. We ended up going to an outside restaurant the next day to socialize and get a decent meal. Thanks, Illiot. Well done. We liked the staff’s friendliness and the room was clean; those were the only good things about the hotel. We visited in July 2023, and choosing Illiot was a mistake and a waste of money. We’ll come back to Mallorca, but not Illiot. The heat and humidity were unbearable. I know that’s not the hotel’s fault, but air conditioning was only in the rooms and a little in reception, where there were just three sofas. We had nowhere to cool down or rest except our room. The pool helped while we were in it, but the humidity made us feel hot again soon after getting out. We’ve stayed in other countries and hotels, even in temperatures over 40°C, and it was never this unbearable or so overlooked. The restaurant had no air conditioning, either. At 28°C and 78% humidity, meals were so uncomfortable we rushed through them to get back in the water. We tried eating only cold fruit and vegetables, but still felt too hot and sticky even sitting still. Even sitting through a show in the unairconditioned lobby was miserable. The dancers and miming performers were sweating and barely keeping up, and the staff looked overworked: the same people ran aerobics, sports and fitness, kids’ club, sauna, entertainment, and evening shows. The shows were “meh,” but in that heat we couldn’t enjoy them anyway. Even a few fans would have helped. We’d paid for a pleasant holiday, but couldn’t find a cool place to sit with our friends. Food was unimpressive in quality, choice, and serving times. You could eat from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., but after that, forget it if you wanted to stay up with friends. Except for one occasion, freshly grilled meat was tough and dry, even meat on the bone. It was like chewing on shoes. Plates and cutlery were often dirty, with food left on teaspoons, bowls, and plates, so you had to check before eating. The soups and pizzas were okay. Shrimps made our friends sick on the day they left, though that’s just anecdotal. The pool itself was fine, but the artificial grass got hot and water tubes underneath stuck out, making it unpleasant to walk barefoot. It was open only from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., so after that you had to hide in your room to cool down, which isn’t what we booked a holiday for. Cold drinks helped only a little, and alcohol made us feel warmer. The indoor pool was closed. You couldn’t get coffee before 8:00 a.m. because the restaurant was closed. After some guests complained, the coffee machine was available at 7:30 on a couple of the last days. The pool bar served coffee until midnight, but that’s late for many people. Why not leave a machine available somewhere all the time? They’d already saved money on air conditioning and dishwasher tablets, so at least let early risers have coffee. This is hospitality, guys.

It was our first all-inclusive holiday, and we thought everything was really great. The food was tasty and varied, and the rooms were always clean and well looked after.
