The weekday menu del día is €12, and we paid €14 on Sunday. There are six options for each of the first and second courses, including local dishes. The price also covers a drink, bread, dessert, and either coffee or a shot.

I couldn't sleep because a loud vibrating noise kept coming from below my room every five minutes throughout the night. The proprietor said, with a smirk, that it was the air-conditioning unit for all the rooms and there was nothing he could do. The hostel seems recently built, but after I couldn't get into room 106, I was given twin room 109, where the furniture was poor, with a table and chair falling apart. There was no water glass in the bathroom, its light made a loud noise when switched on, the skirting was loose, and some tiles around the bath and shower weren't grouted. I wouldn't recommend this hostal.

The views were stupendous, and the people working there were fantastic. The room felt a bit overpriced, though. Very good overall.

The surroundings are beautiful, and it's easy to reach by road, relatively close to Valencia, Teruel, and Cuenca. The restaurant is amazing, especially the homemade croquettes and kebabs. The "patatas a lo pobre" (potatoes with onions and peppers) are in a league of their own. It's a quiet, discreet place for a weekend away, suited to families or couples, and the staff are super friendly.
