There’s a lot to like about this house. It feels like stepping back in time, with old artifacts covering the walls, and it’s right in the town center near local amenities. The heating was good, too. But the double beds were only 1.35 meters wide and had just one pillow, which made them very uncomfortable. The downstairs bathroom is out in the patio, so getting there in winter means facing the cold. The listing said pets were allowed, but once they learned we had one, they tried to charge extra. They dropped it after we objected, since that fee hadn’t been mentioned in the listing. We’d also been told checkout was flexible. We said we planned to leave after resting a bit following lunch, but he kept pushing us to go earlier. I found the way he did that rather unorthodox. He also said he had a neighbor who was bothered by any noise.
