Aldea Soma

We paid €130 a night after booking a month ahead through Booking.com. Then I saw that Booking.com listed the same room at the same place for €98 on July 7, 2026, and €80 on July 8, 2026. At 9.7.26 it was €72. They seem to charge whatever they want, which feels completely unprofessional. The directions were terrible, and anyone arriving in a large car should be careful, as you could get stuck on part of the road. We also waited an hour for the door to be opened despite telling them when we'd arrive. We kept calling, and they hung up on us. They describe the place as a sustainable village and say they use biodegradable soaps, but I doubt they even do laundry because the sheets smelled of sweat. The kitchen is in a cupboard and shared. An indoor pool and breakfast were advertised, but neither could be found.

I arrived with a fully loaded car for a four-night stay, only to learn then that the kitchen was shared. That wasn't what we wanted, so we had to cancel. I explained the situation to the owner and have photos of the Expedia ad, which never says the kitchen is shared. I wasn't refunded by either Expedia or the owner. I can't recommend Aldea Soma or Expedia when a problem like this goes unresolved.

The price was one reason we chose the place, and the house itself is lovely, well renovated, soundproofed, and fairly clean. The area is beautiful too. But there was very little privacy. With no curtains, we had to open the window for daylight, and people walking by could see us in bed or on the toilet. The shared kitchen was another issue. The couple's bed was two single beds, each under 90cm wide. Our car is small, so we managed the parking lot, but a larger one would struggle. We didn't see anyone in charge for several days. We got in easily ourselves, though several other guests asked us how to enter. Honestly, we wouldn't return.

We stayed in one of the rooms last night and found it really pleasant, even with the bad weather. The heating was more than enough, everything was super clean, and the beds were extremely comfortable. We didn't see the hostess, but there was no need to. She'd given us access ahead of time, and all went smoothly. There's a private parking lot too.
