We spent two fantastic weeks at villa Ancla with our three children, aged 17, 21, and 20, and none of them had a single complaint. The villa is beautiful, fully equipped, and has spectacular views. It was hot, just how I like it, and we even watched an amazing lightning storm over the sea. From the infinity pool, the view makes it seem as if you could swim straight out to the water. We stayed at the villa most of the time since I was the only one driving, and meeting a car coming the other way on the road from Sayalonga could be unnerving. That never spoiled our holiday, though. We enjoyed day trips to torre del mar and nerja. Most of our shopping was at eroski and lidl in torre del mar. The little corivan supermarket in sayalonga has everything too, but you’d need a car to reach it from the villa unless you’re an adventurous walker. Jan was only a message away and replied quickly whenever we needed something. It’s a beautiful, quiet area, and having no phone signal was bliss. The Internet worked very well, so the children could still use WhatsApp and their social media. I’d highly recommend villa Ancla to anyone considering a booking.

We had a fantastic three-week stay at Villa el Ancla and would happily stay again. The property was clean and well furnished, with a superb pool area and stunning views. The WiFi was strong enough for anyone who needs email access. It’s a great base for exploring the surrounding area. Thanks, Jan.

Sayalonga has some nice restaurants, and El Ruano is a must-visit. There are also small supermarkets for essentials, and trips to Competa, Torre del Mar, and Nerja are well worth it. We spent two lovely weeks at the villa. Getting there takes a bit of care, and low-slung cars aren’t suitable. The illustrated directions made it easy to find, and after driving the road twice, we were used to it. The view is breathtaking, the amenities are excellent and laid out in a detailed inventory before your stay, and the setting is peaceful. You can reach the owner by phone before, during, and after the holiday, though calls need WiFi or internet because there’s no cell signal. He’s attentive to guests’ needs. A great spot for a relaxing break.

The owner was pleasant to deal with. Villa El Ancla is a large, clean house with everything provided. There’s lots of shade outside, a lovely pool, and a beautiful view. We had a wonderful holiday.
