The outside initially reminded me of the Bates Motel in the Alfred Hitchcock film, but inside was a different story. The rooms were spotless and nicely decorated. We had no hot water at first, but once we found the tank and switch, hey presto, it worked. A big plus for us was that large dogs can stay for free.

The food was excellent, and the staff were very friendly, though they only speak Spanish. If you’re travelling alone, I’d choose a standard room. The single rooms are up in the roof and have no windows.

I only stopped for coffee at the restaurant and used the toilets, I didn’t stay at the hotel. The staff were really friendly, and dogs are welcome. There’s outdoor seating for eating and drinking.

Wouldn’t recommend staying here unless you’re a travelling worker who just needs a bed for one night. Don’t expect friendly service, and the a/c doesn’t work.
