La Manga Club Las Lomas Village

The location is close to the golf resort, which is ideal and I guess why people keep coming back. Check-in was fairly easy, and there's a small shop with basic essentials. Breakfast was good value, with a big selection. Our apartment for six was pretty poor. It felt dated, though the beds were fine and the kitchen had the essentials. The water pressure was almost nonexistent, and it took 3-5 working days for the water to get 'warm'. Reception said that's just how it is and told us to make sure nobody else was running water at the same time. Downstairs smelled of waste or drainage, and opening the windows didn't help. Good value, but I wouldn't stay here again.

We had just two towels for three days, and the bath water was cold every time. Nobody came to clean the room or bring toilet paper or fresh towels during those three days.

The check-in was unusual: there was a "be right back" sign, but nobody came back for 40 minutes. We had to wait, and it was evening by the time we got into the apartment. The apartment worked well enough, with the kitchen and combined dining and living room downstairs, and the bedroom and bathroom upstairs. The terrace had a nice view across the valley to the Mediterranean Sea. Maintenance could have been better: the bathroom was very cold, the towel warmer didn't work, and some lights in the bathroom and bedroom were out. There aren't any good restaurants nearby, so you'll need a car to get to a decent one.

The area felt abandoned, almost like a ghost town, and didn't seem child-friendly. You really need a car to get around. Parking was also far too limited, with only 3 spaces for 9 apartment buildings. The resort was disappointing and poorly maintained. The advertised swimming pool is permanently closed, and reception staff were unfriendly and arrogant. Inside, hot water required turning on a hidden valve near the ceiling. The shower drain was clogged and had yellow-stained edges. The air conditioning smelled bad and had mold around the vents; floor tiles were loose, stairwell lights flickered, and the ventilation system was blocked. The vending machine charged our card but delivered nothing. We definitely wouldn't return and don't recommend it.
