Loop INN Hostel Cartagena

I was traveling solo and stayed in a dorm bed for three nights in February 2026. Everything was clean and well maintained, and the common areas were great. The staff were especially friendly and helpful. I liked it a lot.

The location itself is really cool, but some of the staff were very unfriendly. I felt like a number rather than a guest. One morning they suddenly made me move into a dirty room, then lied about why and made promises they didn't keep.

The location is really convenient, about a 2-3 minute walk from groceries and restaurants, with tourist spots also nearly within walking distance. I liked having so much here: vending machines, coffee machines for working late, games, a gym room, laundry, a terrace overlooking cartagena, and especially the lounge as a place to work remotely. There are only a few beds, so don't hesitate to book when you see a spot. LoopInn has different options, from rooms with 4 or 8 bunk beds to private rooms with an ensuite bathroom. The price is a little higher, but fair compared with other private rooms with bathrooms in the area. They don't have a female-only room, unfortunately, since they only have a few rooms and some days most guests are men. The staff are very kind about trying to place you in a room with more women. I had a card issue when none of my cards worked, but they let me extend my stay for a few days and pay in cash. They're the nicest, always adapting to what guests need. All rooms have a private sink and bathrooms, and they're cleaned and restocked daily. They give you fresh bedding, towels, and sheets after each stay.

Loop INN Hostel Cartagena is a good value, well located, and a solid choice for backpackers, solo travelers, or small groups who want a clean, convenient base without spending much.
