The landlady was very friendly, the house was clean, and the terrace had spectacular views. Prices are low compared with other apartments near the coast. Still, I'd call the place just okay, which is why I'm giving it 3 stars, or 6 out of 10. It works for a family with toddlers, but the three floors make it inconvenient with babies. There was no air conditioning, and one of the two fans didn't work. The living room sofa and kitchen chairs were old and very uncomfortable.

We've stayed at La Casita del Arrabal twice already and hope to come back. It's comfortable for families, and the hostess is friendly and attentive. You can't drive right up to the house, but it's only a short walk with your luggage, and the street in Casares is lovely. Inside, it has what you need to feel at home: plenty of toiletries and cleaning supplies, good kitchenware, heating, an oven, a washing machine, and more. The terrace has stunning views.

From the third-floor terrace, you can take in the natural scenery of Sierra Crestellina and the lower Genal Valley, as well as griffon vultures circling above the village. The house is rustic and spread over three floors, like most homes in Casares.
