La Granja del Pescador

We could see both the pool and reservoir from our room, and the property itself was perfect. The owners were lovely and always attentive. The food was excellent and reasonably priced. They also gave us great tips for routes through the Jerte Valley and its natural pools. If you want a few peaceful days close to nature, this is a great choice. We'll recommend it and come back.

The rooms were spacious and clean, with daily cleaning, and the room's view over the pool and reservoir was spectacular. Breakfast was very good, and the owner who served it was so friendly and wonderful. The other owner could be a little grumpy. The downside was that he suddenly became rude. One morning he woke us with the hose at 9 a.m. We came to rest and switch off, not to be wide awake that early.

We first came in June 2020 and are returning this weekend, June 2021. The garden is beautiful and well looked after, with lovely views of the valley, reservoir, and pool. Merce and Floren are lovely, and the setting is wonderfully quiet. Since there are only a few rooms, the pool adds to the peaceful atmosphere, which we really appreciate. The food is delicious: a simple menu with tasty homemade dishes at low prices. The Caesar salad is a treat. Breakfast is also delicious, generous, and served with care. We've returned since, will keep coming back, and will keep recommending it. It's fantastic.

The people running this rural house were very pleasant, and the cleanliness and service were excellent. Its position works well for getting to the Jerte Valley, and you can enjoy views of the reservoir's tail end. A lovely place to step away from city life and the daily routine for a few days.
