Casa Rural Don Diego

We spent Christmas there with the family and would happily do it again. The rooms are really spacious, and the house has everything you need. Definitely recommend it.

The barbecue setup is probably my favorite part: it’s outside the house in an enclosed area with a fireplace and wine cellar. Inside, the place is spacious and nicely decorated, with a warm feel, very comfortable beds, and clean sheets and towels. There were a few issues that seem easy to fix. The kitchen could have been cleaner, and there were lots of flies even with the door shut and a fly swatter handy. I suspect they were coming from the downstairs bathroom drain, which smelled really bad. The village is very small, but with those things sorted, the house would be fantastic.

The owners were very helpful, and the large patio and covered barbecue area are a nice bonus. There’s everything you need, with four bedrooms and five bathrooms, making it ideal for eight people, whether you’re with family or friends.

The cleaning and hygiene need attention. I’d hate for someone to get sick while staying there. I’m giving it one star because I can’t give it less. It’s roughly twice as expensive as the other rural guesthouses in the area, without offering anything new.
