Greenchalets Castell Platja d'aro

This was our second year staying at Camping Castell D'aro, and we enjoyed it just as much. It’s a lovely rural site with a mix of tents, campers and mobiles. Everyone gave us a warm welcome, and Luca deserves a special mention for being friendly and professional throughout. When we had an issue with our mobile, he sorted it right away. I’d definitely recommend the site.

Luca was kind, always smiling and ready to help when we needed him. The campsite itself is peaceful, beautiful, well kept and in a great spot. S’Agaró beach is 5 minutes away, with Platja d’Aro beach also close by, and big supermarkets like Mercadona nearby. There’s a mini supermarket beside the pool too, with fresh croissants and bread twice a day, all delicious. You can barbecue and put up your own tent. At the end of the trip, I could wash the car at the washing spot for 1 €, which gave a few minutes with a catcher. The place was clean throughout, and I’d happily return. Thanks for a lovely experience.

I pitched my own tent here. It’s about a 40 minute walk to St Pol beach, and the pool is nice. There weren’t many mosquitoes, so even on hot nights I could sleep outside the tent without a problem. Staff at reception, the shop and bar were all helpful and friendly, and the toilets and showers were clean and well maintained. I did miss having washing machines, though. It would be much easier to put in a coin and do laundry than wash by hand. There was noise until 4 am on one or two nights, but that’s not unusual at campsites. I’ll quite likely come back.

We’ve been coming here for 25 years and love seeing so many Spanish families at the campsite. The owners are always friendly and helpful. We love it here. ♥️
