Cal Peret

I remembered this place more fondly from a visit a few years back. It’s quiet and pleasant, but the menu is so small and undeveloped that it feels more like a bar than a restaurant. I wouldn’t make a trip just to eat here; it seems better suited to serving the apartments they rent.

The owners really make you feel at home, and we’ll definitely come back when we have more vacation time. It’s peaceful, surrounded by nature, yet close to services and away from noise. The pool and shared areas are beautifully kept, and the service was excellent. The apartments have what you need, though the pans weren’t in great condition, as is often the case in apartments.

The setting is idyllic, and otherwise the apartment was perfect. But the pillows were so small and flimsy that you’d only sleep if completely exhausted. The shower felt cramped, and the kitchen lacked basic gear, not even a wooden spatula, so I worried about damaging the pots. Also, having a restaurant on site but no option to eat there, or even clear information about it, is strange. If I arrive at 2 and don’t feel like cooking, surely offering a meal could bring in more money.

The rooms in the apartments are really spacious and well laid out, a great place to unwind. Everything I’ve tried from the menu has been delicious, and I think I’ve worked my way through all of it. Orders are ready in five minutes or less, and the service is excellent. Highly recommend.
