Apartamento Denis Playa 7

The view was lovely, there was usually a nice breeze, and the owners quickly fixed the window over the door when I asked. They were also pleasant about the refrigerator problem and offered the one next door, though mine had finally cooled by then. Those were the bright spots in a disappointing 12-day stay. I had enjoyed two months here eight years ago, but this time I couldn't wait to leave. I requested an apartment in the middle of the complex because I knew the street side was noisy. It didn't seem busy, so I don't know why that wasn't possible, but I was given a second-floor apartment facing the street. During a Spanish holiday, fireworks and people shouting below my window continued late into the night. My son lives in Castelldefels and couldn't park in the apparently empty lot while picking me up or visiting. He had to pay for street parking, and I was told there were “no exceptions.” The apartment itself lacked basics. There were no cleaning supplies, no toaster or scissors, and the stove burners needed to be lit with a match, though the stove did work well. The refrigerator took a day and a half to get cold, and missing shelves in the living area made food storage difficult. The shower never drained fully, so mold appeared in the corners by day two. There was no soap dish, only one small hook for a towel, and the shower curtain looked dirty. I also found two roaches. Yuck. It was just an okay stay for me, and I won't return to Denis Playa Apartamentos on my next Spain trip.
