Best Western Hotel Mediterraneo

This was our second visit, and the room was very uncomfortable. The hotel's failure to install modern, effective air conditioning was glaring. The system is centrally controlled and couldn't cool the room when it was in the high twenties outside. We complained and were given a small fan. By any measure, that's a fail in 2025. Meanwhile, the reception where the front desk staff worked was nicely cool. The TV won't let you stream, despite the remote having a Netflix button. The rooms feel dated and worn and need renovating, so this isn't good value for money. The location is perfect, the staff are average, the pool is good, and breakfast is decent, if bland. The hotel could be a very good four star place, but right now it feels like an overpriced three star. Sadly, we won't be back. Without effective air conditioning the rooms are stifling hot, and it's hard to sleep.

The blanket was filthy, and I ended up with sand in the bed even though I hadn’t been to the beach. It was being used instead of a proper duvet. Disgusting. I really don’t understand the 8.8 rating on hotels.com. This hotel is a joke.

The reception girls were lovely💕, but the man in the restaurant was so rude and never smiled. I didn’t catch his name. The room felt like a Soviet Union setup, with hardly any space or comfort. Everything was too small. I didn’t like it at all.

The food was average, and the rooms were basic, though clean and comfortable. The pool was decent, and the service was very good. They helped us sort out train travel into central Barcelona, with the station about a 10-minute walk away. The village is quiet and not very touristy, with a few bars and restaurants. As for the beach, it’s only about 30 seconds away, which makes the location a big plus.
