The room we got didn’t have the bathroom inside, even though that’s what we booked. Cleaners came every day, but the room didn’t seem to get cleaned. There were ants and a lot of dirt under the beds. The walls are thin, and we had very loud neighbors; the street outside is loud both day and night. The bathroom window won’t close, the shower is damaged, and sometimes the water is cold. For the service we received, it’s expensive.
The location worked perfectly for my brother and me. We could walk to the beach, and the nearby train got us to Barcelona in just 20 minutes. It was nice staying somewhere without lots of tourists. Our room had two beds, a balcony, a small TV, WiFi, and air conditioning. Room service came once a day with fresh towels and sheets. Our flight was delayed and we missed reception hours, but I called the hostel and they still managed to get us into our room. The staff were helpful in every way, and the service was really good.
Xavi made sure we always had a clean towel and that the room was tidy and the beds were made. He really went out of his way to make us comfortable and at home. Hostal Olimpia turned out to be a lovely surprise. It’s in a safe, convenient spot near shops, restaurants, public transport, and historic sites. Thanks, Xavi, for looking after us so well.
Our room wasn’t especially clean, though it was okay for the time we stayed. Xavi was a superhost, very kind and ready to help whenever we needed something. I’d recommend this place if you’re visiting Castelldefels or Barcelona.
Clean place with good amenities, and a very good price for what you get. It’s about a five-minute walk to the central Plaza and the train station, which makes getting into central Barcelona easy. I’ll come back.
