Playafels Hotel & Apartments

The reception staff were great, as was the lady cleaning in the breakfast room. The hotel is right in front of the beach, and it’s peaceful, though still about 45 mins by bus from Barcelona. Castelldefels is a high end neighborhood outside Barcelona. It’s an expensive hotel, but the location is fantastic. One thing that should change: the water in the rooms is free, but they didn’t replenish it each day. We stayed many days, and for a costly hotel, a couple of small bottles daily wouldn’t be a big deal.

Our room was huge, with a lovely sea view and a spacious balcony. The decor felt very modern and recently remodeled, and the robes, slippers, closet and bathroom auto-lighting, and Nespresso machine were nice touches. There’s also a beautiful pool, and the hotel is right on the beach. I was surprised there was no bidet. That was fine for us, but some guests might expect one in Europe.

The location was beautiful, the place was well maintained, and the staff were kind and helpful. I couldn’t have asked for more. Thanks to everyone for making my stay so enjoyable.

I booked the 7th by mistake when I needed the 6th, and when I showed up on the 6th they wouldn’t refund the booking for the 7th. Through expedia I paid 1.5x as much for the 6th as I’d paid for the 7th. The staff weren’t friendly, and the room smelled moldy.
